On a local level, Jurie and his wife Karin are part of the pastoral leadership of Shoreline Church in Austin, Texas. Internationally, Jurie leads NXT Move, an organization dedicated to gathering business and church leaders to turn around the negative trajectory of Christianity in the next generation.

Duplication and siloed thinking is the greatest obstacle to us fulfilling the great commission. Helping to overcome that obstacle, Jurie serves as the Director of Collaborative Action with the Lausanne Movement. He also works closely with several other organizations including Movement.org, Movement Day Africa, the International Council for Evangelical Higher Education (ICETE), World Evangelical Alliance (WEA), and Commissioned.

As a senior pastor of Doxa Deo in Pretoria, South Africa Jurie had oversight of six campuses and was involved in international and urban church planting, unity movements, and city transformation projects. He also co-founded and led the Timothy Ministry Training Seminary which continues to train leaders who are actively involved in ministry around the world.

Jurie has served as pastor for preaching at one of the largest churches in the United States and has ministered God’s Word in 48 countries on every inhabited continent. As a leadership and church consultant he has facilitated strategic change in numerous churches and organizations around the world.

Jurie and Karin have been joyfully married for 23 years and are blessed with two boys, Joshua and Ethan.
